DEX Songwriting Expo is back! Hungarian Collecting Society Artisjus organizes 4 entire afternoons, each focusing on a specific topic and speaker. On the 13th June:

Glen Gabriel (SE): Combination of orchestral scores and electronica in cinematic and commercial music

Electronica is very popular nowadays, especially in movies, series and commercials. The combination of electronica with big orchestral elements is very exciting combination, but at the same time, it’s very challenging for songwriters.

How does this work in practice, how can we approach the creative process, and what are the differences in the workflow, if you write music for a film, series or even commercials? Glen Gabriel from Sweden shows through some of his works.

With over 20 feature films under his belt, including James Cameron’s viral project “The Game Changers” (produced by Arnold Schwarzenegger & Jackie Chan etc), 100 commercial major brands & over 1000 TV episodes, Glen Gabriel is no stranger to cinematic music.

Glen’s ability to fusion many genres has taken him from producing award-winning albums featured in the Olympics to composing a ballet for the Opera House of Zurich. Glen has released 6 albums of his own music & recorded orchestras in studios all over the world, including iconic Abbey Road Studios in London, UK.

Limited seating mentoring workshop with Glen!

Buy your DEX ticket for the 13th June 2024 masterclass, then send your audio recording (or a download link to it) to expo@artisjus.com by 6th June. Subject: Application for Glen Gabriel’s mentoring workshop. Important: Use the same email address that you bought your DEX ticket with.
Based on the submitted songs, Glen will select the participants for the workshop. This program will take place on the same day as the masterclass.
