The Primanima World Festival of First Animations this year returns with its anniversary edition between October 5h and 8th. It will take place in Budaörs, Hungary (the suburb of Budapest) for the 10th time. The 10th edition apart from the screenings of  the competition and panorama programmes will offer a revamped industry platform and international workshop, called Primanima Jumpstart, and of course the audience can enjoy concerts and parties.

The Primanima’s main competition will showcase the work of young animation artist in three categories (student film, graduation film, first film); children and teens can also enjoy short films, selected just for them. The  Night Movesm midnight section also returns.

The festival will continue to be mainly a platform for young animations, but a new category is introduced to strengthen the intergenerational dialogue. The Primanima Masters programme is mostly, but not exclusively focused on directors who brought a film already to the festival and have been making masterpieces ever since.
