HUG | One Family!
The HUG Hungarian Handpan and World Music Gathering will be organized for the fourth time by the enthusiastic organizing team called MAG Instruments (the first Hungarian Handpan making workshop). Handpan is a UFO -shaped, steel -made percussion, meditative instrument. For the second time, the instrumental and musician team organizes the meeting on Pápateszér, which is located at the foot of the Bakony, along pine forests and oak forests, recently surrounded by roe deer and deer herds 50 minutes south of Győr, less than two hours from Budapest.
The organizing team enables the performers of home and foreign handpan and world music in the two outdoor stage: Fire and Water. There will be drum & bass, reggae and trans music on the stage, besides the fine handpan music. Emphasizing some exciting performers: constantly traveling and lecturing Daniel Waples; born in Kingston City, reggae/soul singer and songwriter Micah Shemaiah; the Hungarian Ska and reggae band, PASO; Latin American cumbia party band, Los Orangutanes; Siberian origin, multi-instrumental composer living in Berlin Nadishana; percussionist, composer, handpan teacher and a Grammy Prize nominated Alexandre Lora, and the psy-tribal music duo Earth Jam.
The specialty of the Handpan Festival is as every year there will be a handpan lottery among four-day passes. The main prize is a MAG Instruments’ handpan, the lovers of the instrument know exactly how much intellectual and cash value can be that.
This year's motto - “One Family!” - in the spirit of that the organizers’ intention that each festival’s member should feel the festival as a family, as part of a common unit. The goal is that everyone can freely surrender to the etheric vibe created by handpan music and its community-building melodies.
The HUG gathering is a wonderful co-existence, the main purpose, as the name of the letter words suggests, is a big hug, a big circle with the lovers of the handpan instrument, nature and ourselves. For example, in the spirit of the lifestyle camp, there will be chi kung, sound travel and a variety of yoga and meditation. In the HUG Lifestyle Camp, it is important for the organizers to use ecological solutions to the highest possible proportion for locations and community spaces. The event is trash-free. This is supported by the organizers' request for everyone to bring their own plates, mugs, cutlery and degrading soap with themselves, and use as few plastic bags and packeged things as possible and once can.

The four-day pass costs 35.000 Fts. Daily ticket prices: Wednesday-10, Thursday-11, Friday-12 and Saturday 13 thousands Fts. A daily ticket is valid from 8:00 to 12:00 the next day.
