Garden Wonder 42nd concert presents: Alex Gibson ^AU and The Microwaves ^HU

Alex Gibson ^AU

"Not since recording Paul McCartney has a singer sent chills up my spine. Alex Gibson has the most natural singing talent that makes it all sound so easy and believable."

- Mike Stavrou - Music Producer/ Engineer; Paul McCartney, Queen, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, George Martin, Crowded House, David Bowie & Diana Ross.

Five years ago, Alex Gibson embarked on a musical journey from Sydney to London – the iconic home to many of his musical influences. Having released his debut album ‘This Is Life’ in 2012, he embraced the next step of his career and quickly earned a reputation as one of London’s hardest working and most exciting musical acts. Alex has performed at various London venues, including The 100 Club and OMEARA.

Alex’s style is adaptable, soothing and raw, with appeal across various generations and stages. Inspired by both classic and modern genres, his music will take you on a journey of real emotions with beautiful and varied delivery, reflecting everything that defines Alex Gibson.

We're super excited to bring Alex to Budapest for the first time!

The Microwaves ^HU / acoustic

If you're feeling the micro-waves you're not imagining things, you're just getting twisted by the new Indie-Rock craze. The Microwaves blend melodic brit-rock built on exciting riffs with American pop-punk elements, sprinkled with hip-hop drum themes and folk tunes. The debut EP is out now, but who knows what else the band have up their sleeve?

The energy to eliminate the primitiveness is once again being swung on metal strings by the abandoned microwave. In the bands and the solo songs equally, the waves of lethargy and 'carpe diem' resonate neutrally. In addition to the original songs, similar covers are to be expected, although in the world's whirlwind, only death is certain.
