Three good friends with three drumkits set up against each other, cymbals and drumshells form a circle. This time, Attila Gyárfás invited legendary drummers of the Hungarian improvised music scene to play music solely on drums, creating a bridge among three generations.
Tamás Geröly has been the member of Szabados’s MAKÚZ, also played in Dél-alföldi Saxophone Ensemble and Dresch Quartet. He is still an active drummer of the current free music scene while also known as a keen folk musician.
These formations were the very first inspiration for Zsolt Sárvári Kovács, with Geröly becoming his first mentor in improvised music. Later he himself also played with Dresch and the Dél-alföldi Saxophone Ensemble, and basically everyone in the creative music scene – such as István Grencsó, Linda Kovács, Gábor Gadó, Béla Ágoston or Matthew Mitchell.
The open mind of all three of them and their explosivity blended with just the right amount of sensitivity make this event unmissable.
