This year, for the 13th time, ages, continents and people are coming closer together by world music in Kecskemét. At World Music Togetherness we offer a family program before the fantastic concert of Ági Herczku and Nikola Parov Quartet: not only children can get acquainted with exotic musical instruments but adults can also join in the music.

When it comes to world music and folklore, Ágnes Herczku and Nikola Parov are inevitable personalities of the genre.

As a young beginner, Nikola Parov was awarded the Young Master of Folk Art in the early 1980s. As the co-founder and virtuoso soloist of the Zsarátnok, he gained tremendous popularity and recognition both at home and abroad. As a result, he became the founder and frontman of the Riverdance Orchestra. He toured with the world-famous Riverdance show for many years and then returned home in 2000 to write the music for the Hungarian National Folk Dance Ensemble, which is still a full house, for which he received a Phonogram Award.
