Damian Robert Nesta "Jr. Gong" Marley was born in an extraordinary family. Being the child of a beauty queen and the reggae-legend Bob Marley he discovered his talent for music at an early age, and he was eager to use it to step up for those who have ever felt vulnerable.

He released his first album in 1996 which was a prefect mixture of hip-hop, reggae and dancehall. In 2001 his second album was topping Billboard’s Top Raggae Album chart for 158 continuous weeks, which has earned him his first Grammy Award.

His international success could not stop him from working on new music, his single ’Welcome To Jamrock’ was named as one of the best songs of the century by Rolling Stones Magazine. With his third album he became the first Jamaican artist in history who have won two Grammy Awards within one year. This recording was a new chapter in Damian’s career, the lyrics were revolutionary and encouraged people to nourish an open mindset, in the spirit of his father’s heritage.

Breaking trough the boundaries of music he recorded songs with Skrillex, and made an album with Nas. In the meantime he keeps touring around the globe with his band to bring happiness and joy to people and to be the voice of those who can not be heard.
